Undergraduate Students

Applications are accepted year-round. The admissions committee reviews completed applications and selects the applicants to be interviewed and selected for admission.

Eligibility and Criteria for Selection (Undergraduate Students):

  1. Must be U.S. citizen or non-citizen national or permanent resident.
  2. Must be full time matriculated undergraduate student in academic degree program in biomedical or behavioral science field at Hunter College (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Psychology and Physics).
  3. Must have as an ultimate career goal either biomedical or biophysical research.
  4. Must have 3.2 GPA or higher.

Students seeking admission to medical school are not eligible.

How to Apply:

Applicants should be undergraduate students who fit the eligibility criteria described above. Application forms are available in Hunter’s RISE office, North Building, room 314 North, or can be downloaded in PDF or Word formats.

Completed applications should be returned to the RISE office.

A complete application includes the following:

  1. Application Form
  2. Essay
  3. Official transcripts from all schools previously attended.
  4. Two letters of recommendation
  5. Any supporting materials
